Ky-Mani's Marley, who was born in Falmouth Jamaica on 26th February 1976 is one of most popular and successful Reggae Singers. He was in the legendary film Shottas with another famous singer Wyclef Jean. Ky-Mani was signed by Shang Records in 1996 where the band released their debut album With Father Like Son. He has also released a number of singles, such as Judge Not With Patra as well as Dear Dad (which reached the highest position on the British Reggae Charts), Who the Cap Fit Remix, and Sensimelia. Each of these tracks contributed to Ky's increasing recognition among the new generation of reggae singers. In 1997, Ky-Mani formed a band with Praswell (Fugees) for Avenue which was a smash cover to Eddy's Electric Avenue. Marley performed for the first time at Midem, an international music concert that was held in Miami. Marley did a live performance at the Cameo Theatre, which was broadcast by the Caribbean News Agency across 36 countries. Marley was the subject of an auction battle. In 1997, he signed to Gee Street/V2 Records where Marley collaborated with labelmate P.M. Dawn sang on the hit single Gotta Be Movin on Up.
